About the Company

ZSE Technology NV is a startup operating in the UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) and counter-UAS domain. We primarily focus on military applications but also translate them into civilian solutions. The goal of ZSE is to contribute to the protection of critical infrastructure, events, and individuals. Our company is located at DronePort, the former airbase of Brustem in Sint-Truiden.

Job Description

We are looking for a UAS – C-UAS Development Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to the development of these systems and will be involved in all phases of the development and production process. Your main focus will be on electronics and software.

Responsibilities

Taking into account your experience and competencies, you will work on one of the technical domains within the development of drone and counter-drone systems.
You will join a small team with an extensive network of partners.
Proactivity in the development of new systems is what we are looking for. Your own ideas and input will make a difference.
You will contribute to the hardware and software integration of the systems.
You will coordinate between various partners and stakeholders (suppliers, developers, etc.).
You will participate in the assembly of prototypes and assist in testing equipment and accessories.
You will conduct validation tests.

Requirements

Degree: Electronics/ICT Engineer or equivalent through experience.
A strong interest in UAS or C-UAS is essential.
You communicate fluently in English, and knowledge of Turkish can be considered an asset since we collaborate with Turkish partners.
Creativity and analytical thinking are your strong suits.
Safety first; you prioritize (aviation) safety.
You are willing to occasionally travel abroad for limited periods.

Skills

Drone operations with a focus on UAS in the OPEN category, fixed-wing or rotary/multicopter drones.
Electronic design (PCBs, digital circuits, etc.), using CAD tools.
Software development (Android applications, JAVA, C##).
Radiofrequency communication applications (digital signal processing, coding protocols, mesh networking radios, antennas, RADAR, GNSS, etc.).
Flight Control Systems, autopilots, avionics.
Payload development (cameras, gimbals, image stabilization).
Project management.
